A Mexican UFO expert has said a an image of a dark shape above a stadium could show a flying saucer.
The original image was taken by a fan in attendance at FC Juárez’s Estadio Olimpico Benito Juárez.
The shot was sent to UFO expert Jaime Maussan on Twitter this week by the team, who begged: “Help Jaime Maussan. A fan sent us this photo he took during the game v Club Tijuana where you can apparently see a UFO. Is it or not?”
Maussan used AI to enhance the photo in hopes of getting a clearer shot and claimed it showed something called an ‘unidentified anomalous phenomenon’ or UAP – a term used by NASA that is similar to the more common unidentified flying object or UFO.
Maussan wrote in response: “I want to share with you that the case was analysed with AI technology and everything indicates that we are looking at an Unidentified Aerial Phenomena. Scientists in Kyiv call these ships ‘ghosts’ as they are unknown objects.”
He went on to added: “I believe it is a ship of non-human origin.”
The snap was taken on Saturday during a match between FC Juárez and Tijuana.
In the top right-hand corner of the image, a dark-coloured spot can be seen.
Maussan then used an artificial intelligence programme to help identify what he claims is a ‘round, domed ship’.
Maussan says the object isn’t a drone or plane and even believes the image shows some sort of force field around it.
In response, FC Juárez wrote: “I can’t believe it!”
Last June, NASA boss Bill Nelson revealed the US space agency takes UFOs ‘very seriously’.
During a briefing to science journalists, he said: “We’re taking this very seriously. I’ve talked to the Navy pilots that know that they saw something back in 2004. They tracked it on their radar off the Southern California coast, over the Pacific.
“Since then hundreds of objects have been spotted and a couple of them were explained, they may be balloons, but most of them are unexplained.”
Explaining why he believes it was more likely alien life than technology from an adversary on Earth, he continued: “My personal opinion is that the universe is so big, and now, there are even theories that there might be other universes.
“If that’s the case, who am I to say that planet Earth is the only location of a life form that is civilised and organised like ours?”
“Are there other planet Earths out there? I certainly think so, because the universe is so big.”
