Emma Raducanuposted a cryptic Twitter photo involving Rafael Nadal as some fans wonder could the 20-year-old Briton be using the Spaniard as a motivation to make a successful return to tennis. Earlier this month, Raducanu revealed she was having surgeries on both hands and her left ankle.

Raducanu is now facing a recovery from multiple surgeries and something like that is definitely a challenging task. On Monday, Raducanu completed her third and final surgery and later posted about the time when she admiringly starred at Nadal.

“Thinking (multiple tennis ball emojis),” Raducanu’s caption read.

Throughout his career, Nadal dealt with numerous injuries and setbacks.

But every time, Nadal found a way to come out on top and return to winning Grand Slams. Now, 2021 US Open champion Raducanu is certainly hoping to make a strong comeback when she returns to tennis. For now, we know that Raducanu will be out at least through the entire grass season and Wimbledon.

“It is safe to say the last 10 months have been difficult as I dealt with a recurring injury on a bone of both hands. I tried my best to manage the pain and play through it for most of this year and end of last year by reducing practice load dramatically, missing weeks of training as well as cutting last season short to try [to] heal it.

Unfortunately, it’s not enough. I’m having a minor procedure done on both hands to resolve the issues. I’m disappointed to share that I will be out for the next few months and while I am at it will have another minor procedure that is due on my ankle.

It pains me that I will miss the summer events and I tried to downplay the issues so I thank all my fans who continued to support me when you did not know the facts. Looking forward to seeing you all back out there,” Raducanu announced on May 3rd.
